Pray Lee County 2011 – Praying for Transformation

In Pursuit of The Great Commission

 Vision

To prepare the soil and the worker of Lee County to deeply participate the Great Commission; to be PREPARED in season and out of season

Pray Lee County effort this year to link hundreds of churches in united to be prayer over a period of 51 days, 24 hours per day from August 8th to September 27th.

The cry of the earth will meet the cry from heaven—choice is ours.

Prayer points have been carefully and reverently made.  The common thread this year praying for those who don’t know Christ as well as for those who do—in order to prepare all minds and hearts to either receive ministry or impart it to others in all places appointed by the Lord.   We believe the Church of Lee County is preparing to host and disciple the nations.

There are no denominations in heaven—for 51 days, let there be none on earth as we unite in honoring the Lord, together, through prayer.

The Joyful Task

Each pastor/church joined the task of maintaining the wall of prayer around Lee County may choose one or more Prayer Coordinators within their own church to gather and prepare their people for prayer.  Many prayer coordinators may already be in place from previous campaigns and just need to be activated again.

How to schedule prayer for busy people and organizations (suggestions):

  1. Launch through Small Group or Life Group systems already in place.  Challenge them to pray through the prayer points or ask for volunteers to pray over 40 days individually as the Lord leads.
  2. For people who cannot pray for an hour straight, challenge them to pray throughout the day for the points—breakfast lunch and dinner times.
  3. Five minute challenge—focus and pray for each point of prayer for five minutes during the day.
  4. Pray over one point each day for six days each week with the last two points prayed on the last day of the week (8 points over 7 days and repeat)

It is not our intent to limit or overburden pastors with communication.  We will communicate to the ‘go to person’ for each church and will copy pastors for informational purposes only.
